Coach and Club responsibility
Please make sure that your gymnast attends all the practice sessions allocated to them. Eversdal gymnastics club and its coaches, can only take responsibility for your gymnasts performance during the year and the upcoming competition season if they are only coached at Eversdal Gymnastics Club. The club cannot be held responsible for your gymnasts performance if they are also receiving additional coaching or substituting some practice sessions with coaching or training at another venue with other coaches.
COMPETITION INFORMATION:
We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of some important competition rules. These rules will also apply to GSA competitions.
Note that the breaking of these rules could lead to disqualification. Please ensure that your gymnast is aware of the rules that apply to him/her.
COMPETITION RULES:
1. Hair must be neat and away from the face. If ribbons are worn, please ensure that they are the same colour as the leotard.
2. No jewelry may be worn. This includes earrings, bracelets, necklaces and watches.
3. Gymnasts will not be permitted to wear facial makeup, hair glitter, nail polish.
4. Once on the competition floor no communication is allowed between gymnasts and parents.
5. Gymnasts may not speak to the judges during the competition.
6. The gymnast is allowed to have a bottle of water with him/her on the floor (inside a gym bag).
7. No eating is allowed on the competition floor.
8. No flash photography is allowed – should you take photo’s or video of your gymnast please ensure that the flash if off.
NB: NO GYMNASTS MAY USE OR CARRY CELLULAR PHONES ON THE COMPETITION FLOOR (NOT EVEN FOR TAKING PHOTOS)
COMPETITION ATTIRE:
Gymnasts will compete in:
CLUB COMPETITION (ALL LEVELS)
· Any Leotard or training attire (neat and tidy)
· Any Tracksuit (neat and tidy)
DISTRICT TRIALS (WAG Level 1-3 & ALL LEVELS MAG, TUMBLING & TRAMPOLINE)
· Club Leotard
· Club Tracksuit
DISTRICT TRIALS (WAG Level 4+)
· Own Choice Leotard
· Club Tracksuit
WESTERN CAPE CHAMPIONSHIPS (WAG Level 1-3 & ALL LEVELS MAG, TUMBLING & TRAMPOLINE)
· Club Leotard
· Club Tracksuit
WESTERN CAPE CHAMPIONSHIPS (WAG Level 4+)
· Own Choice Leotard
· Club Tracksuit
NATIONALS/GYM GAMES (WAG Level 4+)

They may wear white socks during warm-up. Shoes or takkies must be placed in bags or handed over to the parent after dropping your gymnast at the warm-up area.
COMPETITION INFORMATION: You will be requested to check the program as soon as it is available - please check spelling and that your gymnast has been entered in the correct level and age group.
The program will indicate a report time - we need all gymnasts to be at the venue 15 minutes before this time. Once at the venue it will be announced when the gymnasts must report to the warm-up area.
Gymnasts must please remain at the venue until after the prize-giving - remember all Artistic gymnasts Level 1, 2 and 3 will receive a medal irrespective of placing.
We encourage you to clap, cheer and support your gymnast from the spectator area - you may however not communicate with them once they are on the competition floor (at the club competition we will be lenient with new and young gymnasts especially where it is their first competition experience).
